The theme for this week is "Ayerveda 101".
This week, we speak to Vasanthi Pillay, President of the Ayurveda Association of Singapore. When I first moved to Singapore a decade ago, I promptly enrolled in an ayurveda 101 course that propelled my studies in yoga and meditation. Next week, I will be sharing with you on my experience at my panchakarma retreat, but before you take a listen I thought it'd be helpful for you to understand the basic principles of Ayurveda, one of the oldest holistic healing systems recorded.
I feel like everyone should understand even only slightly the principles of Ayurveda, if only to gain a better understanding of your biological constitution, and also how you can monitor your lifestyle so that you can live your healthiest life, and ultimately prevent disease.
We had a wonderfully engaging chat, and even though I would consider myself well versed in the concepts of Ayurveda, my understanding for it deepened greatly as a result of my conversation with Vasanthi. There may be some words or phrases that may have you scratching your head at times, but not to worry. Just pause the episode, and look up these words and concepts on Google if you want to learn more.
Thank you so much for being my guest on the Listening Well Podcast, Vasanthi! Enjoy the episode!
